A person that invents it doesnt want it, a person that bought it doesnt need it and the person that needs it doesnt know. What is it?

The person who invented it doesn't want it. The person who bought it doesn't need it. The person who needs it doesn't know it.

What is it? It is a coffin.

The word “coffin” originated in the early 14th century, from the Old French cofin (sarcophagus). Earlier it meant "basket, coffer" and derived from the Latin cophinus (basket). This is from the Greek kophinos (a basket) which is of uncertain origin. The funeral sense started in England in the 1520s; prior to that it was literal (basket) and had also a meaning of "pie crust."
