In the news, millions of motorists are at risk of paying £1,000 for failing to update their licence! 2.6 million haven't updated their driving licence according to Direct Line Car Insurance. 3% of married women still bear their maiden name on their licence and 2% of motorists should have updated the DVLA about a notifiable medical condition. A DVLA Spokesman said that licences expire every 10 years until the age of 70 and it is important that they are kept up to date to ensure the information is correct.
