Keith Lemon is a fictional character played by Leigh Francis. Leigh married Jill Carter on 31 October 2003. Leigh based the character Keith Lemon on his best friend of the same name.

His first job out of college was as senior artist for the Yorkshire Evening Post. He was then hired by Paramount where he learned all about television, both behind and in front of the camera. Then, in 2002, he launched his award winning television show Bo’ Selecta!.

Francis is a rather private person and often only interviews dressed as one of his characters.
