How did Ben Fogle first become famous?

A London native, Ben Fogle first garnered public notice as a participant in the BBC reality show Castaway 2000. He was one of 36 people marooned on the island of Taransay in Scotland for a year.

Since then, a noted adventurer, Fogle has gained fame as a presenter for the BBC, presenting numerous programmes including BBC’s Extreme Dreams, Animal Park, Countryfile, Wild In Africa, Crufts, and One Man and His Dog.

Fogle also is a special correspondent for NBC News in the United States, writes regularly for the Independent and the Sunday Telegraph, and has written five bestselling novels.
