Gordon James Ramsey was born on 8 November 1966 in Glasgow, Scotland; his family moved to Stratford-upon-Avon, England when he was five years old. He open his first restaurant in Chelsea, Restaurant Gordon Ramsey, in 1998; it received its' third Michelin star in 2001. Ramsey's first appearance on television was in 1999 on the 5 part documentary miniseries, "Ramsay's Boiling Point"; it documented moments of his life before opening his first restaurant.
