• Birch/Peldon/Tiptree Wards - 11:30am to 8pm

• Layer Marney Ward - 2pm to 8pm

• Emergency Assessment Unit (EAU), Critical Care Department and the Maternity Ward - Open visiting

• Delivery Suite - Open visiting

• Lexden Ward/Stanway Ward (also the location of the Early Pregnancy Unit) - 3pm to 5:30pm, 7pm to 8:30pm. Partners can be on Lexden Ward from 10am to 9pm

• Critical Care Unit - 9am to 12noon, 3pm to 8pm

• Children's Ward - Parents have open access. One parent may stay overnight. For all other visitors - 2pm to 7pm

• Neonatal Unit - open visiting for parents, otherwise 3pm to 5pm with a restriction that the only children allowed to visit are siblings

Outside these hours visiting is only possible if agreed with the senior nurse-in-charge or midwife.

As a general rule, visitors are advised not to bring very young children or babies (except for immediate family) as they are especially vulnerable to picking up infections. Ideally, no more than two visitors per patient in any ward at any time to reduce noise and disturbance to other patients.
