What is welsh for microwave?

The literal translation of microwave from English to Welsh is ficrodon, microdon, or meicrodon. The inspiration for a microwave oven happened in 1946 when engineer Dr. Percy Spencer found the candy bar in his pocket had melted, while testing a vacuum tube called a magnetron. The first commercial microwave in 1947 was 5 1/2 feet tall and weighed over 750 pounds.
