What's the music in the eon advert? X
The song in the latest E.ON advert is by The Lumineers, a folk rock band from the United States, and is titled "H0 Hey". It was the first single from their self-titled album, which was released in April of 2012. The new advert from E.ON Energy Solutions Limited began airing in October 2012.
Band members Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites started the band in New Jersey in 2005. They later relocated to Denver, Colorado, where they teamed up with the third band member, Neyla Pekarek, who plays cello, mandolin, and piano in the band. Schultz is the lead vocalist and guitarist in the group, and Fraites adds drums, percussion, and mandolin to their sound.
The Lumineers are currently touring the States, with many sold out shows already, but will be back in Europe early in 2013.
They'll be in Amsterdam on 2/26/13; Cologne 2/27/13; Berlin 2/28/13; Munich 3/2/13; Hamburg 3/4/13; Zurich 3/5/13; Paris 3/7/13; Lille 3/9/13; Brussels 3/10/13; and London 3/11/13, before moving on to Australia, Japan, and finishing off back in the U.S.
As announced on 12 October 2012, The Lumineers are among several artists (including The Rolling Stones, the White Stripes, and My Morning Jacket) that issued special release vinyl offerings for Back to Black Friday, an event organised by the yearly Record Store Day initiative that took place on 25 November 2012 in stores in the UK, USA, Canada, Holland, Germany, and France. The Rolling Stones' debut EP is available on 7" vinyl and in its original format for the first time since 1964, and Third Man Records (Jack White's label) is issuing three White Stripes singles on coloured vinyl.
