When do new born puppies open their eyes and start to walk
Newborn puppies first open their eyes when they are 12 to 15 days old, and see clearly at 4 weeks old. Their eyes start out bluish and change to adult colour in time. They start to crawl in 7 to 14 days, walk in 16 days, and walk at a normal speed in 21 days. Puppies are born toothless and start to develop baby teeth in 2 to 4 weeks, with full baby teeth by 8 weeks. They often twitch and jerk in their sleep to help with development of nerves and muscles.
