Who are or what are the brothers grimm?
The Brothers Grimm, Jacob and Wilhelm, were German academics that are best known for collecting fairy tales from local storytellers and publishing them in collections. Their first collection Children's and Household Tales, published in 1812, had more than 200 fairy tales including Cinderella, Hansel and Gretel, Rumpelstiltskin, and Snow White. The brothers received honorary doctorates from Marburg University in 1819 for their work.
