Sheila Hancock played Barbara Owen in 3 episodes of ‘EastEnders’ between 2000 and 2001. Sheila Cameron Hancock was born 22 February 1933 in Blackgang, Isle of Wight. She moved to King's Cross in London where her parents ran a pub. Sheila went to Dartford Grammar School, and then with a grant to RADA. Sheila then went into 9 years of weekly Rep around the country. While in Rep in Bath she met actor Alec Ross, who she married in 1955.
